Tabitha in San Francisco - Day 4 (5/25/08)

After we got up, we drove over the Golden Gate Bridge, when we were on our way to Muir Woods. The bridge was very good because it was beautiful and long, and very structurally made. When they first started painting the Golden Gate Bridge, when they finished painting one side they had to go and paint the other side again!

The woods were very very nice. There was all this wildlife, and very, very, VERY old trees. I think one they had hanging up. That one actually showed when the light bulb was invented! And it also showed when Columbus discovered America. There was another tree that had burns all over it. One tree was so hollow that you could stand inside! I also made a little diorama while we were there. There was also a caterpillar the size of three pennies. And a squirrel too, or was that a chipmunk?

Then we drove to an overlook where you could see the fog and actually stand in it. Then we drove over to the beach, where I got my pants wet in the Pacific Ocean. The weather was pretty cold, but the beach was pretty nice. Later on we went to a lighthouse. There was a very long bridge, where you could only cross two-by-two on it, and then we came to the actual lighthouse. It had its foghorn going. It sort of sounded like an elephant was crying.

After that we went back across the Golden Gate Bridge and went home and had pizza. After the pizza we played a couple rounds of Uno. I won once. And then we had a shower and then we played a couple more rounds of Uno, and that's when I went to bed.
